EQ Systems is a supplier of premium hydraulic leveling systems, slide out solutions, and custom wire harness and battery cables (EQ Harness division) for both motorized and towable RVs, as well as the horse trailer, motorsports, and a wide variety of commercial industries.  Historically, EQ Systems has been known as Equalizer Systems and a division of Days Corporation.  In 2021, all divisions of Days Corporation were re-branded to reflect the success of the Equalizer Systems division, as well as the vision of our late owner and CEO, Jim Sproatt.  Days Corporation is now known as EQ United.  Days Distribution is now known as EQ Logistics, and Equalizer Systems is now simply EQ Systems.

Rebranding the company directly coincided with a record paced period in not only revenue growth, but also a larger vision and expansion into a more self-sufficient and future focused business model that will ensure EQ Systems stays positioned for long term stability and success.  With the lessons learned over the recent years regarding supply chain problems, uncontrollable price increases and unpredictable quality from sourced suppliers, it became clear that a move to become an in-house manufacturer of as many critical components as possible was the only sustainable solution.

This new focus on manufacturing required an all-in commitment from the owners of EQ Systems, and that’s exactly what they have done.  Purchasing a large range of machines, including plasma tables, an auto-feed laser, CNC lathes, an aluminum mill, and robotic welders was the first step.  These new machines required bringing new talent on board that would make the launch of this new manufacturing division successful.  Drawing from many strong relationships in the industry, EQ Systems was able to bring on experienced engineers and machinists right away.  Manufacturing of many plate and tube steel components was the first of many steps, with the eventual goal of being a self-supplier of all steel parts, as well as hydraulic cylinders.  That process is well in place with an ever-expanding catalog of these components being manufactured in-house by EQ Systems.

What was quickly apparent was that the long-term home of EQ Systems in Elkhart, Indiana was no longer large enough to house this new operation, and certainly wouldn’t allow for the growth that was on the horizon.  EQ Systems was in need of a larger facility with room to grow into the future.  That’s exactly what was found in the purchase of an existing manufacturing facility, just north of the Indiana-Michigan border.  Adding approximately 100,000 additional square feet of floor space and consolidating operations to one building was a huge step toward increasing both efficiency and capacity.  A substantial rehab project on the building got underway immediately and all aspects of manufacturing and production, as well as installations and shipping and receiving moved to the new facility in the spring of 2022.  A completely new office built-out within the facility serves as the home of EQ Systems office staff, and the new corporate headquarters of EQ United.

This investment in the future has EQ Systems poised to make big moves in the industries they serve NOW. With the capacity to produce efficiently at an all-time high coupled with the ability to control costs and quality, the company is in a very unique position for controlled growth at a time when others are tempted to retract. EQ Systems is excited to be able to support our partners with quality products and sustainability at a time when it’s needed the most.
