Posted By: Izabella Chesney NATM Member News, NATM News,

As the benefits for the NATM Dealer Affiliates grow, so do their dedicated marketing campaigns. Call to Service is a campaign where NATM aims to highlight and acknowledge the service department for its vital contribution to the success of trailer dealerships, and the industry as a whole. We are excited to launch this campaign and give dealers a chance to showcase their service departments and shine a light on the crew that makes such a difference in their business.

We are thrilled to highlight The Trailer Guy, whose main specialty is service and doing honest work for their customers’ best interests. NATM got the opportunity to speak with husband and wife duo, Brandon and Denise Scholle about their company, and we got the chance to dive deep into what makes their service department so unique!

About The Trailer Guy

Brandon was exposed to the trailer industry by starting a job at a local shop in Cincinnati while in finishing

up high school and entering college. He stayed at that shop for about 5 years, assisting the owner and

learning about the trailer industry while also seeing the potential it had.

While working at a local shop offered Brandon with unique opportunities working with a variety of trucks, truck accessories, trailers, and much more.

He enjoyed the hands-on work and eventually went out on his own, working on trailers in his spare time as he worked a corporate job for over 10 years with GE Aviation. This meant long nights and weekends making it happen for his customers. As time went on, Brandon and Denise decided in 2021 to take the next steps and left their jobs to focus on their business full-time.

While The Trailer Guy can help you with all things trailer related, they specialize in trailer repair and parts for horse, boat, campers, and landscape trailers. They have grown their service-focused business from just Brandon and Denise to now having one full-time employee and one part-time employee. The Trailer Guy pushes out between 600-700 trailers a year as a small shop. This is an exciting accomplishment as it shows their passion for growing and sharing the knowledge of the trailer industry with others.

What Makes Them Stand Out?

Brandon has always been focused on offering a different type of service to his customers, ensuring they leave with every problem fixed and have a safe trailer on the road. His hard work and dedication is what has set him aside over the years and is what keeps the customers flowing in. Not only is he the owner but he is the one doing the work and making sure the quality is consistent every time by paying attention to detail and checking numerous times to ensure the best experience for his customers. The Trailer Guy is a business that solely focuses it’s time and services to trailers, this alone shows the dedication and passion for offering the best services to their customers.

The husband and wife duo are passionate about educating others on trailer needs and safety. Not only do they pay special attention to solving any trailer problems and concerns, they also educate their customers. They walk them through the process and are honest about the work that goes into it. If you make a call to The Trailer Guy, you are most likely speaking with Denise who is also extremely knowledgeable and educated in the trailer industry and can answer many of your trailer-related questions and concerns before you even book your appointment. Denise has worked alongside her husband, learning the ins and outs of trailers and the industry. She is an invaluable source of information and is deeply involved in the trailer industry community. Not only that, but you also will find her regularly in the shop with the service technicians assisting with repairs.

Even on their days off, if someone from their community needs help or asks them a question, both Brandon and Denise are happy to share their expertise and trailer knowledge. The Trailer Guy’s passion for community, education, and the desire to give their customer’s the best services are some of the many things that make them stand out!

Most Rewarding Part & Future Goals

Along with getting to work together every day on their shared passions, the Scholles also find it rewarding to be apart of their community. They are heavily active in community events and make sure to interact with others around them while they are out and about.

While Brandon and Denise have a business specializing in trailers, they also do a lot of things with trailers off the clock. From horses, boating, four-wheelers, and camping, they are using them just as much as their customers, if not more. This lifestyle has given them the opportunity to truly connect with their community and be involved on a deeper level.

The feedback, reviews, and kind words also are something they find rewarding, and it drives them to continue to do the best job they can. Especially considering the extremely long nights and all the hard work that went into building the business that many people never saw. It makes it all worth it knowing the work is appreciated and seen. When they are out and about and customers come up to them to say thank you and show their appreciation or share their experience with another person is always a reward as well.

The future goals for The Trailer Guy is to hopefully one day get a bigger facility to accommodate a bigger vision. Along with being able to serve their community for generations on.
