Christy Kutchma: Championing Safety, Training, and Advocacy at Peerless Chain and Beyond

For over 12 years, Christy Kutchma has been a driving force at Peerless Chain, a Kito Crosby brand, serving as the Marketing Coordinator. Her dedication, innovation, and passion for the industry have made her an indispensable asset to both her company and the wider community.

Champion of Safety and Advocacy

Christy has been instrumental in Peerless Chain's involvement with the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM). Notably, she coordinated a visit from NATM to Peerless' Winona, MN facility, where she meticulously organized training content and a facility tour, ensuring a seamless and informative experience for everyone involved.

Her advocacy for Trailer Safety Week stands out as a testament to her commitment to industry safety. As an early supporter, Christy not only provided valuable content to NATM but also actively engaged in promoting the event across various social media platforms. Peerless Chain is proudly a Trailer Safety Week Partner, providing educational content, and helping to raise awareness and enhance safety standards within the industry.

In her position, Christy manages the Peerless Academy, an on-site program designed to educate and engage customers across North America. She is responsible for hosting approximately 12 visitors at a time, developing comprehensive training materials, and co-presenting across various product categories. The Peerless Academy has garnered positive feedback, with many clients specifically praising Christy for her exceptional knowledge, presentation skills, and welcoming demeanor.

Active Involvement and Expertise

Christy has taken on the added responsibility of coordinating all corporate and product brand social media accounts for Kito Crosby. This new role allows her to leverage her marketing expertise on a broader scale, further enhancing the company’s digital presence

Christy’s collaboration with NATM extends beyond safety initiatives. She works closely with the association on NATM Convention sponsorship and tradeshow management, ensuring that Peerless Chain maintains a strong and impactful presence in the industry. Her expertise and organizational skills have made her a trusted partner in these endeavors, contributing to the company’s continued success.

Christy also plays an active part in the Peerless Activities Committee. She collaborates with a cross-functional team to organize events such as the Company Picnic and Christmas Party, contributing to a positive and enjoyable work environment at Kito Crosby. Despite being a key organizer, Christy is often behind the camera, capturing memories rather than being in the spotlight herself.

Outside of work, Christy’s life revolves around her family. She enjoys camping, river tubing, and spending quality time with her husband, Jim, and their four children—Gabe, Emily, Vance, and Addy.

Christy’s passion for training is evident in her work with Peerless Academy, where she continually strives to enhance the learning experience for customers. Her involvement in NATM’s Trailer Safety Week also perfectly aligns with Kito Crosby’s safety values, reflecting a shared mission to create safe environments for all who engage with their products. This commitment is further demonstrated in initiatives like Construction Safety Week, where Kito Crosby trained 3,700 people across 55 safety week events in 2024. Christy’s role in developing and contributing to the social media efforts for these initiatives highlights her dedication to promoting safety and education across the industry.
