NATM Academy Resources

General Information

The NATM Academy is an online learning platform designed to provide education and training for professionals in the light- and medium-duty trailer manufacturing industry. Developed by the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM), the NATM Academy offers a variety of courses in various categories, including but not limited to Human Resources, Marketing & Sales, Technical Training, Leadership, and Safety.  

Through a mix of self-paced courses and micro-learning modules, the NATM Academy helps manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, and industry professionals stay informed, improve safety and compliance, and advance their skills. The NATM Academy also partners with U-Haul University to offer additional technical training. 

The NATM Academy provides industry-specific education focused on trailer compliance, technical training, and business development tailored to manufacturers, suppliers, and dealers of the light- to medium-duty trailer industry. 

Additionally, the Academy offers exclusive access to compliance training aligned with NATM’s Compliance Verification Program (CVP)—a resource not available through other training platforms. Through its partnership with U-Haul University, it also provides exclusive access to specialized technical courses.

Pricing & Registration

The NATM Academy is completely free for NATM member companies and their employees, offering a powerful new way to equip your team with cutting-edge skills—at no additional cost. This innovative learning platform enhances the already robust benefits of NATM membership, providing exclusive access to industry-specific training designed to keep your business ahead of the curve. 

Non-members do not have access to the courses, however, if you’re interested in joining NATM, membership details can be found at https://www.natm.com/membership-information  

Members can log into their NATM Member Compass Profile and go to www.natm.com/academy and click on “Enroll Now”. For members, steps to complete registration can be accessed via PDF instructions or video instructions linked here. 
At this time, only one learner can enroll at a time. Every learner is required to have a NATM Member Compass Profile along with a distinct email address for registration. No two learners can share the same email address. Each employee of a company will need to create their own NATM Member Compass Profile and link to their employer’s company.  

Access & Login

Registered users can search their email inbox for an auto-generated email form @matrixlms.com that includes their unique User ID and Password along with a link to the NATM Academy login page. This is a different User ID and Password than your NATM website or Member Compass account.

We support all browsers on the latest two versions of Android and iOS. Our system has a responsive design so it will adapt to the size of your device's browser. 

Course Enrollment & Completion

The NATM Academy Compliance Verification Program course is available only to trailer manufacturer members whose membership with NATM is active. This course provides an in-depth exploration of the NATM Compliance Verification Program (CVP), guiding trailer manufacturers through each stage of compliance to meet federal regulations and industry best practices. Designed for manufacturers, compliance officers, and industry stakeholders, the course covers the essentials of preparing for, undergoing, and maintaining compliance through the NATM CVP. By completing this course, participants will gain a clear understanding of federal regulations, NATM's Guidelines, and practical steps for ensuring ongoing compliance, helping to create safer trailers and safer roadways.
